KABUL (BNA) Headed by Mullah Bakht Rehman Sharafat, General Director of the Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) a delegation left for Iran on an official visit on Saturday.
The Afghan Railway Authority in a statement said the combined delegation of Afghans on their official visit will discuss the restoration work on the Khaf-Herat railway project, as well to provide vocational training programs for the Afghan Railway Authority staff.
The Afghan delegation will further discuss on the Iranian proposal offered lately by the country’s special representative for the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, interested in investing in the Afghan railway private sector, went saying the statement.
According to the statement, the Afghan delegation will return to Herat province after three days of a visit from Iran to assess the third segment part of the Khaf-Herat railway station.
