Aibak City (BNA) Dozens villages have been captured by Taliban militants within the next two days in northern Samangan province.
Local resident that asked not to be named said, Taliban militants have captured 30 villages in Maqsoud region and 10 villages in Zerki region of Dara Souf Payeen district, Samangan province.
Local police and up-risers personnel are responsible to ensure security in the mentioned areas and Taliban militants have captured the villages without clashes, so local police and up-risers personnel for preventing from civilians’ casualties, the resident added.
It has been said, Taliban militants blocked Dara Souf’s transportation way to Aibak city the provincial capital of the province and Mazar-e-Sharif city the provincial capital of Balkh province.
Muneer Rahimi in-charge of publication in police headquarters of Samangan while confirmed capturing the villages by Taliban said, reinforcement troops dispatched to the areas to recapture the villages.
