Afghan National Cricket Team Qualified to ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

KABUL (BNA) Afghanistan National Cricket Team automatically qualified for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 after its second ODI match with Sri Lanka cancelled due to rain.

Afghan National Cricket Team by winning 115 points in the preliminary matches against Sri Lanka and beating Sri Lankan team in the first ODI match was able to secure its place in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 that would be hosted by India.

As the second match of Afghan cricket team with Sri Lanka cancelled due to rain, the Afghan team was given five extra points which totaled to 115 points, that helped the Afghan team to secure its place in Men’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

The Afghan National Cricket Team is currently setting at seventh spot among the top eight nations that granted automatic qualification for the Cricket World Cup next year.
