President Ghani Pledges Accountability For Each Of Money Used

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani vowed his country would remain accountable to the international partners, for each of his country’s used money, his office said in a statement Sunday.
In a meeting with the European Union Cooperation Development (EUCD) Chief, Stefano Manservizi, the president said Afghanistan was fully prepared for the Brussels Summit in which the EUCD Chief said the international partners would commit continuation of cooperation with Afghanistan, said the statement added.
“Continuation of the world countries cooperation and renewing commitments with the war-torn country means that Afghanistan was still at the focal point of the international community,” said the chief adding Afghanistan has stepped up with important achievements in the fields of security, regional cooperation, development, reforms, transparency and counter-corruption efforts.
Meanwhile President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan said he would attend the Brussels Conference with effective preparation and big achievements of ensuring security, reforms, rule of law, corruption prevention and women rights and that his country would remain accountable to its international partners.
“Regional cooperation would not only empower Afghanistan’s economy but alongside economic improvement would play effective role in restoring security and stability in the region,” the statement quoted the president as saying. According to the president, Afghanistan has the capability to be changed into the Asian countries’ economic crossroad, under its firm strategic plan, said the statement.
