Afghan People Keep Hoisted The Flag of Independence, Senate

Kabul (BNA) Upper House of national assembly has issued a message on the occasion of remembrance of Kabul mujahidin uprising on 3rd Hoot, 1358 coinciding with 22 Feb, 1980 against Soviet Union’s army.
In the message, Senate praised remembrances of those mujahidin martyred and struggled during the history uprising and prayed to the souls of all martyrs of the country.
“Our people remember that uprising of Kabul residents against Soviet Union’s army started from Chendawol of Kabul city 35 years ago and rapidly speeded in most parts of the city where the people by chanting Allahu Akbar and getting stone and wood rose against presence of foreign soldiers and puppet regime and defended from the independence of their country. During this deadly incident, a large number of Kabul residents were martyred and a number of others arrested, but the uprising has soon changed to continuation of jihad in the country and will be remembered in the history by current and next generation of country,” the message said. In the message, Senate has praised remembrances of those mujahidin martyred and struggled during the history uprising and once again prayed to the souls of all martyrs and wished them paradise.  “Senate believes that the people of Afghanistan will keep hoisted the flag of independence against any foreign invaders and defend and protect the country and its interests as before,” the message added.
