Danesh Chairs Laws Committee

Monday, August 08, 2016
Kabul (BNA) Chaired by Sarwar Danesh, the second vice-president, the Laws Committee discussed public and private partnership legislation, which has been called something new, with the contents have not been still lodged in the country’s legislative documents, his office said the other day.
He said providing the people with public services was the core responsibility of the government, with the draft could specify the way of offering public services with the partnership from the government and private sector on which no legislative documents had so far been existed, but it is provided by the ministry of finance in cooperation with the ministry of justice and other related organs.
Approval of the bill would secure one of the international commitments of the government of Afghanistan as well as would create and increase employment and strengthen the private sector and public welfare, the statement added.
The Laws Committee approved it in principle, but said the process should be finalized by the related organs to be presented at the cabinet meeting for approval, the statement said.
The committee refused to approve distribution of state-ran vehicle number-plates to personal ones as against the law and the ministry of justice and interior have been tasked to revise on the issue and send to the cabinet meeting for final decision.
