Afghan-Turk School Students in Jawzjan Won First Place in Thai Science Olympiad

SHEBERGHAN (BNA) Students of the Afghan-Turk school in Jawzjan won first place in the Thai Science Olympiad by winning 17 medals.

Mohammad Taheer Jawad, director of education in Jawzjan, told BNA that the competitions, which were launched online amid thousands of students from 43 countries, the Afghan-Turk students’ school in Jawzjan, won 17 medals.

According to the director of education in Jawzjan, students from the Afghan-Turk school in Jawzjan won two gold, one silver, and fourteen bronze medals in the competition.

He added that launching this science competition, along with encouraging students, is also a great honor for Afghanistan.

“I and a number of my classmates participated in the Thai science Olympiad, which was held online in Thailand to win honors in the name of Afghanistan and to the people,” said Ahmad Mobeen, a student of the Afghan-Turkish School who won a gold medal.

Meanwhile, Abdul Manaan Khalil, the head of the Afghan-Turk school in Jawzjan, said that the students of the Afghan-Turkish school in Jawzjan were able to win gold, silver, and bronze medals in the name of Afghanistan and show their talent and ability.

Previously, the students of a private school in Jawzjan had already won 11 medals in the Thai science Olympiad of 2021.
