Kabul (BNA) Holding exhibitions would lay positive impacts on the country’s products including, industrial and agricultural, as experts believed the move would help Afghan products get introduced in both domestic and foreign explosions. An agriculture expert, Mohammad Iqbal told that though the people of Afghanistan has long background of agricultural skill and they are mostly engaged in agriculture, but the farmers are in dire need of the government support to help them present quality product to the market. “Holding agriculture exhibition would encourage the Afghan citizens to use and enjoy domestic products as well as helps the farmers pay attention to the improvement of their products further than ever,” he said. Najibullah Mahmoud, a university teacher told that in order to encourage the people use domestic products, the government should obligate the entire state entities to use them highly. “The move would help the farmers and producers encouraged to yield further as they realize that the government was their supporter.”
The farmers also asked the government for seeking agriculture exhibitions at home and overseas as well as provide their products with world markets. Meanwhile, the government of Afghanistan said it had done much to provide many provinces of the country with agriculture shows, as recently the northern province of Balkh’s chamber of commerce and industries in cooperation with the German department of agriculture aimed at expansion of trade and agriculture programs throughout the north and northeastern zones. The exhibition was held in Badam Bagh of Mazar-e-Sharif, the provincial capital of the northern province of Balkh, said an official from Balkh’s chamber of commerce and industries, Ahmad Nasir Qasemi. The official said the main aim of the program was to help develop trade and providing the people with awareness about the domestic quality products in Balkh and the adjacent provinces and that the province was a proper place for holding such exhibitions. Various types of the Afghan products including dried and handicrafts had been displayed through some 85 pavilions and booths, he added. The German representative lauded the Afghans for doing their best to improve their domestic products and said no one could do this expect the Afghans by joining hands.
A member of the country’s chamber of commerce and industries, Khairuddin Mayel said the exhibition was a bridge between the producers and the consumers. “We had created this to help our citizens get aware of their domestic products and by purchasing any domestic items, they could encourage and support the Afghan producers,” he said asking the producers for raising the quality of their products. A pavilion owner in the Balkh Agriculture Exhibition, Shakila Haidari praised the move to hold such exhibitions and said these shows would help both the citizens of the province and the adjacent ones get familiarized from each other’s products. Looking delightful about holding of the exhibition, a Kunduz citizen, Ghulam Hazrat who displayed his dairies at the Bamam Bagh of the Balkh province’s great showcase asked his countrymen for preferring their domestic products. In fact, if the country’s producers, including farmers, craftsmen-women were supported by the government, they could produce high-quality products.
