Afghanistan is in a Better Security Situation for Investments

KABUL(BNA) Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate says that the security situation in wake of new government has paved the way for international investors, including China, in Afghanistan.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, said that Wang Yi, The Chinese Foreign Minister arrived in Kabul today on a special visit and received by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.

Muttaqi and Chinese Foreign Minister discussed political, economic, transit, air corridors, property transfers, scholarships, visas, and start-ups in the mining sector.

Wang Yi, the Chinese Foreign Minister described his visit to Afghanistan as a step towards strengthening comprehensive relations, adding that China and Afghanistan have historical ties and continue to seek to expand and strengthen ties.

During the meeting, the Chinese Foreign Minister expressed his opposition to the imposition of political and economic sanctions on Afghanistan.

He praised the new government for its positive changes and security, and said that in addition to humanitarian and development assistance to Afghanistan, it would provide a range of other assistance.

Amir Khan Muttaqi praised Wang Yi’s visit, calling it a positive message to the world, including Afghans, and welcomed China’s help and support, and lamented the plane crash.

He added that the security situation in Afghanistan has paved the way for international investors, including China, to invest in Afghanistan, thereby benefiting the Afghan people in terms of economic growth and stability.
