Afghanistan Needs Urgent International Support : ICRC

KABUL(BNA) The International Committee of the Red Cross says that half of Afghanistan’s population faces serious food insecurity.

The rganization announced, Monday that the economic problems and the current winter threaten the lives of millions of people in Afghanistan and that the country needs urgent international support.

The operational officer of the International Committee of the Red Cross,Martin Shub,who recently visited Afghanistan, said in a tweet: “decades of war and economic problems, severely damaged lives of Afghans.”

He called for urgent help from the international community for Afghan people.
