VP Danesh Stresses Key AGO Role in Maintaining Justice

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh met with the acting Attorney General Zabihullah Kaleem here in his office yesterday and emphasized on Attorney General Office’s (AGO) role in rule of law and maintaining justice in the country, a statement from the VP Press office said.

In the meeting, acting Attorney General that has recently been appointed by the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, while expressing his appreciation for the trust of the government leadership, also explained his plans and priorities related to the implementation and management of the AGO.

The new AGO head, as quoted in the statement, also stressed the support and continuation of cooperation of the Second Vice President related to the activities and functions of the Attorney General’s Office.

Meanwhile, during the meeting, VP Danesh, first congratulated Kaleem on his appointment as the head and candidate for the post of Attorney General and wished him success in leading and managing the institution.

 

Pointing to the importance of the role of the Attorney General’s Office as a key judicial institution, the Vice President emphasized Kaleem’s serious attention to enforcing the law and ensuring justice for citizens, according to the statement.
