Kabul Minaret Unveiled

Kabul (BNA) Minaret Milad-e-Kabul or Kabul Birth Minaret, built in Bahg-e-Qazi area of Kabul old city was formally unveiled yesterday.
The work for the construction of the minaret in mid 1389 was completed and opened yesterday.
Addressing on the occasion, Kabul Mayor, Mohammad Yunus Nawandish said, this is the tallest minaret in Kabul after Chakari minaret that was destroyed during Taliban reign saying Kabul minaret is 30 meter high; while Chakari minaret was 29 meter tall.
Constructed with old style architect, its watch costs 30,000US dollars, Kabul Mayor added.
He also said that more similar minarets will be built in Kabul city.
