Dozens Taliban Insurgents Killed in Kandahar New Battle

Kandahar (BNA) Kandahar witnessed heavy fighting between the security forces and Taliban-affiliated militants last night until this morning.

Forty-five armed Taliban were killed in the clashes in Zheri and Maiwand districts.

Senior Atal Corps official in the south told BNA that forty-five insurgents, including five local commanders, killed in the clashes.

In the aftermath of these battles, the air force razed four hideouts of the armed Taliban with all its military equipment.

The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.

According to another report, the security forces discovered and defused twenty-three mines and prevented a series of explosions in Kandahar.

No one has been arrested in connection with the bombings.
