Firm Determination Needed To Fight Corruption: Massoud

Kabul (BNA) Presidential senior advisor in reforms affairs and good governance, Ahmad Zia Massoud met yesterday in his office with members of popular process of counter official corruption.
During this meetings they discusses on bringing reforms in government administrations and counter official corruption. They said in their studies on counter officials’ corruption, the existed problems in government administrations were recognized. They said that the ministries which were include of their studies from among them the ministry of higher education, ministry of energy and water, ministry of interior, ministries of commerce, combinations and information technology, justice and office of supreme court, AISA and ministries of education mines and Petroleum, that polluted with corruption in various cases. The in-charge of this process, Ms. Sima Ghani has asserted that if the leading bodies of ministries and government administrations don’t pay attention to their proposals in connection with official corruption, she should be forced till share the result of their studies with media. She added that corruption is the great enemy of the people of Afghanistan and our proposals are made according to the requirement of nation. The ministries should investigate the requirements of nation i.e. corruption. The members of popular process for counter official corruption and also wanted from presidential senior advisor for considering of reward and punishment and added that if the punishment not to be considered for corrupted, they would resort to further corruption sans any harassment and punishment is a dire need for country official corruption. After hearing the proposals of members of popular process of counter official corruption presidential advisor in good government lauded their investigation in counter official corruption and suggested that to fight corruption need is felt for bringing changes in structures of administrations, and leaders of government and leading body of ministries should believe this changes in administration structures.
