Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan Under-15 National Football Team on Saturday won the title of Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Championship by defeating Uzbekistan 3-2 in the final.
Afghanistan cruised to the major success after playing four matches in the tournament which was hosted in Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe between 2nd and 8th July.
They ended the campaign with three wins – against Tajikistan (3-1), Kyrgyzstan (3-1) and Uzbekistan (3-2) and one loss – against Turkmenistan (0-1).
The side claimed the title as the senior team is ranked below all the countries in Central Asia.
