Cabinet Meeting Reviewed Ministries’ Second 100-Day Action Plans

Kabul (BNA) Presided over by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, cabinet session was held at Presidential Palace yesterday.
In the session, cabinet of the Islamic Republic of recent Afghanistan strongly condemned Kabul attack that martyred and injured a large number of our countrymen, wishing paradise to those martyred in the incident and urgent recovery to those injured.
Meanwhile, the cabinet asserted that investigations were underway in this regard and the results would be soon announced through media.
In the session, the cabinet of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan by praising general directorate of administrative affairs for presidential office for analyzing second phase of 100-day plans of ministries and government institutions instructed government organs to report modality of their executions to general directorate of administrative affairs.
In the session, Minister of Justice delivered UNESCO national commission’s statute prepared in 3 chapters and 20 articles for implementation, coordination and overseeing UNESCO programs in Afghanistan, expansion of national culture, education, maintaining of relations between government and non-government organizations and preparing the ground for sharing of relevant organizations in education and research programs, which was approved by the cabinet.
Afterwards, Minister of Finance delivered to the session the ministry’s suggestions related to increase of 98763561 AFG financial assistance of Kazakhstan in development budget for funding construction of a bridge on Aibak River and construction of a supportive wall in Samangan and increase of another 1290855682 AFG assistance of donor organizations in ordinary budget for MoD, MoI, MoIC, RTA and nearly 52338859 AFG in development budget of MoIC and MoPH, which was approved by the cabinet.
Then, Minister of Higher Education delivered the session report of the ministry’s dispatched delegation to Turkey for reviewing financial and higher education affairs of Afghan students in the country.
Minister of Higher Education enumerated problems of Afghan students in Turkey as low level of education of 12 grade graduates in provinces, delay in transferring process of scholarships money to Turkey such as not paying salaries of students on time, delay in processing of financial documents and execution of allocation by ministry of finance and others.
After overall discussion, the cabinet of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan decided that the Ministry of Higher Education should dispatch a high-ranking delegation of experienced instructors to Turkey to specify education level of students through an entrance exam and deliver a particular plan in this regard to coming session of the cabinet.
The cabinet also decided that concessions of Afghan students should be transacted on time.
