Five ISIS Loyalists Perished During Shaheen 25 Joint Military Operation

Kabul (BNA) At least 5 fighters of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group have been killed and four others were wounded during joint military operation conducted by Afghan security forces in eastern Nangarhar province.
According to information of 201 Sylab army corps to BNA, the joint operation under the code name of Shaheen 25 launched with participation of Afghan National Police, Afghan Border Police, Public Order Police and National Directorate Security (NDS) personnel to eliminate ISIS loyalists, ensure peace and stability, protect and lives and properties of people and government sovereignty in restive areas of Koot and Deh Bala district of the province.
Several villages have been clear-up from being of ISIS members since launching the operation, source added.
Some heavy and light weapons have been discovered and seized during the joint operation as well.
Also four terrorists were arrested by Afghan security troops following vehicles’ searching in Kotwal region, Deh Bala district of Nangarhar province.
