Ahead of Eid Al-Adha 109 Prisoners Freed

KABUL (BNA) Prisoners with low crimes cases were released from jails across some provinces, ahead of Eid Al-Adha by the orders of Amir Al-Momineen the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

43 prisoners were released from Faryab jails after their dossiers were reviewed, said Mawlavi Nematullah Zakir, head of the Criminal Division of the Court of Appeal in the province to Bakhtar News Agency.

Based on the pardon decree of Amir Al-Momineen the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, from a total of 148 prisoners that were detained in various crimes 43 including 3 women were released from central and local districts jail, on Monday.

At the same time, according to another report, 66 freed 48 of them were addicted to drugs from Uruzgan central jails, based on Amir Al-Momineen’s decree.

The inmates expressed happiness over the decree of Amir Al-Momineen ordering them to be freed and committed not to commit any crimes in the future, reports said.
