Ahmadi Attends Group 77 Plus China Meeting

Kabul (BNA) Foreign ministry spokesman said yesterday that deputy on political affairs of the ministry of foreign affairs Irshad Ahmadi had attended the meeting of Group 77 plus China.
Addressing a press conference here, Ahmad Shekib Mustaghni said that the deputy on political affairs of the foreign ministry attended the G-77 plus China in Bolivia to celebrate the 50th formation of the group to represent Afghanistan.
Aimed at developing the economy of the member states, the G-77 plus China meeting objective is to boost relations and cooperation among 133 member countries of the group in the fields of alleviating poverty, reducing climate risks, fulfilling the millennium goals of the United Nations and setting development plans after 2015.
Mustaghni added that Irshad Ahmadi at the sideline of the meetings held with the defense minister and deputy foreign ministers of Bolivia, exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
The G-77 plus China was established in 15th June 1964 and so far it has 133 members including Afghanistan as a founding member of the group
