Kabul (BNA) First Vice-president Marshal Mohammad Qaseem Fahim met with the Iranian ambassador to Kabul the other day.
At the meeting Marshal Fahim called for preservation and further consolidation of friendly relations and cooperation between the two nations.
He added that Afghanistan and Iran have common bonds and they cooperate with each other at the highest levels.
The Iranian ambassador Feda Hussain Maliki stressed that Iran supports the efforts towards restoration of peace in Afghanistan and added that peace and stability in Afghanistan is to the interest of the regional countries and the world.
They also exchanged views on trade relations and its importance towards economic growth in the two countries.
