Afghanistan, Uzbekistan Sign Criminals Extradition Agreement

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have signed agreement on extradition of criminals.
Addressing in a news conference held yesterday, a spokesperson to ministry of foreign affairs asserted that the agreement on extradition of the criminals has been signed between Salahuddin Rabbani, minister of foreign affairs and his Uzbek counterpart in Uzbekistan.
He added that for acceleration of the process, Afghanistan ministry of foreign affairs has formed a commission in combination of the ministry’s representatives and the relevant organs.
In the news conference, the MoFA spokesperson asserted that Afghanistan minister of foreign affairs in meeting with his Uzbek counterpart asked for military cooperation, recreating common economical commission between the two countries, trade good transit through railway, solution of visa problem for Afghan traders, cooperation and renewing in price of importing electricity from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan and granting scholarships to Afghan students.
In the meeting, Uzbek minister of foreign affairs said that his country was ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in the respective fields as the government of Afghanistan had a particular position for the people and government of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek minister of foreign affairs also said that his country would support membership of Afghanistan in Shanghai organization.
