Al-Khidmat Assisted 80 Tons of Food, Non-Food Items to Victims of Recent Floods

KABUL (BNA) State Disaster Management Ministry says the Al-Khadmat Pakistani Foundation has delivered 80 tons of food and non-food items to the Ministry through its humanitarian aid series for Afghan people who suffered recent floods.

In a statement to BNA, the State Disaster Management Ministry informed about delivering 80 tons of food and non-food items to Afghanistan through Torkham port.

During delivery Khalid Wiqas in charge of Al-Khidmat Foundation said the aid to said the aid includes flour, cooking oil, salt, pillow, and Mattress, which will be distributed by the ministry of disaster management of Afghanistan to the folks who suffered recent floods in Afghanistan.

head of international relations Shamsddin Haqyaar in the ministry of disaster management said they will be distributed equally in a transparent manner to the recent deserving families who suffered floods.

Dozens of people have been killed and thousands of families affected by heavy rainfall and flash floods in a number of Afghanistan provinces.

The Islamic Emirate has called on the humanitarian aid agencies to assist those who suffered the sudden flood across the country of Afghanistan.

Pakistan has already delivered two consignments of humanitarian aid in two charter flights to Mazar-e-Sharif to be distributed to the families of victims.
