KABUL (BNA) on the opening of the food quality control laboratory of Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority, the deputy Prime Minister said that all the foods enters the country must be quality-stabilized in the quality control laboratories of this department and then be made available to our citizens.
The food quality control laboratory was opened by the Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority in Kandahar, a statement said.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, attending the opening ceremony of this laboratory, stressed the importance and position of the National Food and Drug Authority in providing standard services to the people, called the opening of this laboratory a big step to stabilize the quality of food in the country, which can Provide food security.
He stressed that after this, all the food items that enter the country should be checked in the quality control laboratories of this department and later be made available to our countrymen.
He warned those who import low-quality food items, that they will be punished and their licenses will be revoked.
The head of Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority, Dr. Abdul Bari Omar said that in the near future, 4 large drug control laboratories will be established in the zones and 8 food control laboratories in the provinces to ensure food safety.
The laboratory that was opened on Wednesday day in Kandahar has the capacity to examine and review more than 100 samples per day.
