Kabul (BNA) 20 villages have been cleared from existing of armed rebels in Almar district of Faryab province.
Col. Mohammad Reza, Shaheen 209 national unit spokesman told BNA, the villages cleared during the operations conducted Saturday by this unit under the name of Shamshir Aftom ( Seven Swords) with joint cooperation of national police so far the operation continuing there and 20 villages have been cleaned from existing of militants.
He added, some military equipment and weapons seized and six mines discovered and defused.
