Zabul Elders Share Problems with CE

Kabul (BNA) A delegation of elders and notables from Zabul province called on the Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah the other day and briefed him about the problems in their province. According to BNA, the delegation said that they want the government to improve the security situation, create job opportunities, building schools, hospitals and roads besides checking corruption and ensuring good governance. After hearing their problems, Dr. Abdullah said that the government of national unity is committed to improve the living condition of the people by launching development projects. The Chief Executive also added that he would take the issue of security problems of Zabul province in the next meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) and the concerned bodies would take necessary decisions to improve the situation there. According to another report, Dr. Abdullah received a delegation of Groh-e-Dadkhahan (Justice Group) which represents civil society body of Balkh province, in his office the other day and appreciated the delegation for defending human rights in the society. The delegation during the meeting expressed concern over the detention of those children who are living with their mothers in prisons and street children forced to do odd jobs. However, the Chief Executive said that all the problems would be solved in cooperation between the government and civil society.
