Kabul (BNA) Some elders and influential of Shinwar district of Nangarhar province met with Mohammad Karim Khalili second vice-president yesterday and shared their problems with him.
The elders expressed pleasure over their participation at the annual death anniversary of Shaheed Mazari called him a great national personality and they said that presence of different tribes at the anniversary indicate fraternity and unity among the Afghans.
They shared their problems with Khalili in terms of shortage of schools, clinics, asphalted roads and increase in cultivation of poppy and asked government attention towards solution of those problems.
The elders proposed that considering the existing capacities of Shinwar district, the district should be upgraded to the province level.
Expressing pleasure over their participation at the annual anniversary of Shaheed Mazari said that marking the anniversaries of national personality causes further strengthening of unity among the tribes and this indicates the unity among different tribes in the country.
He assured the elders that their problems will be studied and addressed.
He asked the elders to encourage their youth towards obtaining education and added that the government is exerting efforts to prepare the ground for the education of the youth throughout the country.
