Security Forces Retake Control of Police Posts In Jalrez

Kabul (BNA) Afghan Special Forces retook the control of Police checkpoints that had fallen to the Taliban in Jalrez district, Maidan-Wardak province three days ago.
According to the reports, an operation launched aiming to retake parts of Jalrez district in which 10 armed oppositions were killed and dozens others wounded.
Ataullah Khogyani spokesman of Maidan/Wardak governor told BNA journalist, Afghan security forces after retaking some parts of Jalrez district and pushed back the militants from the areas, reopened Kabul-Bamyan highway to traffic.
Khogyani says, the operation will be continued until the district completely cleaned from existence of armed rebels.
Three days ago some parts of Jalrez district had fallen to Taliban militants and more than 31 Afghan security forces were killed following the militants’ attack in the district.
It has been said, the militants also sustained heavy casualties at the beginning of their attack in Jalrez district, but the exact figures of their casualties are not clear.
