President Ghani Receives EU Countries’ Ambassadors

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with European Union countries’ ambassadors at his office on Tuesday, his office said in a statement.
The meeting which was held at the Presidential Palace, the president and EU special representatives exchanged views on holding parliamentary elections, Kabul process and its future and Afghanistan’s relations with international community particularly with the European Union, according to the statement.
The president also thanked the European Union’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan in different spheres particularly elections, security, development, health and education, the statement added.
In return, the EU special representative for Afghanistan said, “We support Afghanistan in various fields and ready to cooperate in this regard,” the statement continued.
The president asked the EU ambassadors to hold such meetings in the future to further bolster relations between Afghanistan and the European Union.
