Kabul (BNA) As the Russian president, Vladimir Putin called the situation of Afghanistan critical; the internal security commission of the house says that Russia should support Afghanistan in war on terror.
Mirdad Nejrabi, member of internal security commission of the parliament said that the security of region and especially Central Asian countries is vital for Russia; therefore this country should cooperate and support Afghanistan in war on terror.
Meanwhile, the house said that until the regional countries not honestly cooperating in field of peace and fight against terrorism, peace will never be maintained in Afghanistan, as ensuring of peace in this country is in the interest of region and world countries.
Iqbal Safi, head of defense commission of the parliament stated that we need war planes and also jets and drones till the Afghan security forces themselves take measures to dismantle terrorism and target their hideouts in the country.
Safi emphasized that Afghanistan would not let Russia to have bombardments on Daesh and Taliban inside the country, but Afghanistan want the cooperation of Russia in equipping Afghan security forces with modern weaponries as well as in other fields.
Earlier, the Russian officials had a meeting with National Security Advisor of Afghanistan and announced that Moscow is ready to cooperate in war on terror.
Regarding the role of regional countries in ensuring peace and stability and fight against terrorism in Afghanistan, a number of political experts said that we are optimistic about their cooperation and support and believe that Moscow is concern over the influence of extremist groups in their borders.
Ghafoor Lewal, head of regional studies center in Afghanistan, expressed that Moscow is worried over insecurity in Afghanistan and thinks this would destabilize the allied countries of Russia in Central Asia.
Lewal added, “That major regional powers such as Russia need to avoid an increase in the activities of terrorist groups inside their territory then should assist Afghanistan government.”
Saleh Mohammad Saleh, an expert believe that at present the Afghan security forces are faced with international terrorism and major regional powers such as Russia is obliged to honestly cooperate Afghanistan, because this is a regional war and not depends only to Afghanistan, therefore the world countries must support us in this connection.
Afterward, a number of Kabul citizens while praising the Afghan security forces in maintaining security in the country especially in Northern provinces emphasized that the government should not let the insurgents to influence in Northern provinces of Afghanistan and for foiling their attacks, serious strategies should be taken.
Imran one of Kabul citizen says that Afghanistan is among those countries which have given big sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and still fight is going on, but beside the government of Afghanistan the regional countries especially Moscow should cooperate in this regard because stability in Afghanistan is in the interest of region and the world.
While many countries had announced their commitments in ensuring of stability and fight against terrorism in Afghanistan. But unfortunately still stability is one of our people dreams and now expected that the efforts of regional countries one day will lead us to lasting peace in Afghanistan and the joint fight can be effective.
