Kabul (BNA) Nine armed oppositions were killed and wounded and 40 different types of mines were discovered and defused in an operation launched by national army forces.
Defense ministry spokesman said BNA, the national army forces carried out a clearing operation in Panjwai and Maiwand districts of Kandahar province in which a number of armed oppositions were killed, 4 Kalashnikovs, and a set of communication were destroyed.
Also the national army forces launched other operation in Alinegar district of Laghman province, as a result of which a number of armed oppositions were killed and a PK machine gun was seized.
According to another report, two national army troops were martyred and another wounded in explosion of mines planted by armed oppositions in the outskirts of Alasai district of Kapisa province.
