Kabul (BNA) Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen yesterday inaugurated Ghazni city’s historic relic’s exhibition launched in national museum on the threshold of ending festival of Ghazni city as Cultural Capital of Islamic Civilization.
BNA correspondent reported in a ceremony held on this occasion with participation of a number of cabinet members, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, Kabul governor Abdul Jabar Taqwa, representatives of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Iraq and Iran and a number of foreign countries’ ambassadors to Kabul, Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen spoke and said the exhibition held by Ministry of Information and Culture was on culture and history of Ghazni at the time of Ghaznavides.
Artifacts and relics unearthed during researches and diggings were put for display in the exhibition. Beside that some artifacts prepared by Feroz Koh Institute were also put for the exhibition.
In the ceremony, head of national museum Omera Khan Masoudi introduced the artifacts and relics to the participants.
According to another report, Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayeed Makhdoom Raheen also opened yesterday photo exhibition showing achievements of directorate of historic monuments for MoIC from Ghazni city.
The exhibition was also held on the threshold of ending festival of Ghazni city as Center of Islamic Culture.
In the exhibition, various pictures of cemetery of leaders as Sultan Mahmoud Ghaznavi, Sultan Abdul Razaq, Khuaja Mohammad Laikhwar, Sultan Ibrahim, Amir Nasiruddin Sabuktagin, Ali Lala Sahib, Shaikh Amaduddin Tajulia, Sayed Ahmad Makayee, Mohammad Sharif Khan, walls of Ghazanin Castle, third Sultan Masoud minaret, Sultan Bahram Shah Minaret, Babaji historic mosque and Urosul Falak Mosque were put for the exhibition.
