Lashkargah (BNA) Five Taliban insurgents were killed in an airstrike in Helmand yesterday evening.
Spokesman for the Special Operations Corps told BNA that the Taliban were killed in an airstrike in the Garm Sir District of Helmand province.
The source added that a number of weapons and their bases were destroyed in the attack.
Another report says, 13 Taliban insurgents were killed in an airstrike in Kandahar yesterday evening.
Jamal Nasir Barakzai, spokesman for the Kandahar police chief, told BNA that the Taliban were killed during the attack in Dand district of Kandahar province.
He added that four other insurgents were wounded and a number of their weapons and ammunition were destroyed during the attack.
