President Ghani Considers Historic Monuments As Honor, Resource of Inspiration For Next Generations

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has submitted a historic monument to the country’s national museum.
The country’s President in a ceremony held yesterday on this occasion handed over the historic monument which is a carved collection of small statues on a rock and recently seized by provincial security personnel of Kunduz to Mohammad Yahya Muhibzada, acting director of Afghanistan national museum.
President Ghani while congratulating Museum Day said he was honored to grant the monument on the day to the country’s national museum.
Praising provincial security personnel of Kunduz for preventing of the monument from trafficking to abroad the country’s president said, “Historic monuments are investment which is an honor and resource of inspiration for the country’s next generations.”
President Ghani suggested that Afghanistan government was determined to set up a museum in presidential palace so that precious gifts granted by foreign officials to him should be preserved and kept in the museum. It is worth mentioning that provincial security personnel of Kunduz have prevented from robbing the historic monument being trafficked from Buzurg district of Badakhshan to abroad.
