Kabul (BNA) The commandos of the Afghan National Army (ANA) forces have kicked off a major operation by the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) against the loyalists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group in eastern Nangarhar province.
According to the security officials, the initial raids were conducted by the Afghan Special Forces in the early hours of Friday morning in Kot district.
The officials further added that the Afghan Force and as well as the US forces in Afghanistan are providing air support to the Afghan ground forces.
