Ershad Ahmadi Meets Italian Foreign Ministry’s General Secretary

Kabul (BNA) Political Deputy for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ershad Ahmadi met yesterday with General Secretary for Foreign Ministry of Italy here in Kabul.
According to public information office of foreign ministry to BNA,  in the meeting, the Italian General Secretary for Foreign Ministry said he was in Afghanistan for meeting with Afghan officials related to key political conditions in the country and visiting huge projects implemented and funded by Italy in Afghanistan.
“I’ll go to Herat to officially open Herat International Airport reconstruction project as an example of my country’s cooperation with Afghanistan,” the Italian official said.
While praising Italy for cooperation with Afghanistan in various sections, Political Deputy MoFA said, “The government and people of Afghanistan are appreciating Italy for its assistance to Afghanistan, considering presence of Italian troops for maintaining security, and development activities of the country in Herat province as examples of Italy’s cooperation with people of Afghanistan.”
According to another report, Political Deputy MoFA Ershad Ahmadi yesterday met with Chinese Ambassador to Kabul. In the meeting, both sides discussed measures and preparations taken for Istanbul process countries’ foreign ministers session to be held in 29 Aug, 2014 in Tinjing city of China. Pointing out the meeting held between presidents of Afghanistan and China in sideline of their visit from Sochi of Russia, Ahmadi praised China’s new commitments and cooperation with Afghanistan on counter terrorism. Meanwhile, the Chinese ambassador to Kabul considered the new agreements of the two countries leaders as key step towards further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.
