Kabul (BNA) At a meeting in Kabul on Wednesday, National Security Advisor (NSA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar held out the assurance to a visiting Indian delegation led by Deputy National Security Advisor Rajinder Khanna, a statement from the NSA office said.
The Afghan government would make all-out efforts to ensure the security of Indian citizens in the war-torn country, says the national security advisor.
The two sides, while conferring on the situation in Afghanistan, agreed to step up security cooperation, Atmar’s office said.
Khanna was quoted as saying that India stoutly supported an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned effort for peace and security.
