Kabul (BNA) Within the last 3 years 500 school building had been constructed by Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) in rural areas of the country.
Akbar Rustami spokesman of (MRRD) in a press conference said, the ministry also has built 50 health clinics in various parts of 34 provinces of the country.
According to BNA report, Rustami went on saying that Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development succeeded to implement 41,000 development projects in different sectors such as drinking water, irrigation, agriculture, transportation and health, which over 12,000,000 people have benefited from the mentioned projects in rural areas.
Since the beginning of this year the ministry by implementing Covenant Citizenship Program with a sum of $ 40 million totally covered 1200 villages across the country, Rustami added.
It is supposed that during the next year 4000 other villages to be covered by Covenant Citizenship Program in the country, Rustami further added.
Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development one of the top ministries in the field of spending budget, which until now the ministry expended its 79% development budget, Rustami concluded.
