Lashkarga (BNA) Ten armed Taliban insurgents were killed and six others have been wounded in a series of air and ground strikes of security forces in Helmand province last night.
The raids carried out on Taliban strongholds in Gereshk district.
A national army senior commander in the south of the country told BNA, ten of armed Taliban were killed in the attacks.
He added several hideouts of Taliban have been demolished.
According to reports, the security forces have managed to clear tens of regions from insurgents.
Another report says the security troops prevented from a series of blasts this morning.
Security officials discovered and neutralized eight mines from crowded areas of Helmand province.
It is said that the mines were planted by Taliban in the scene.
