Kabul (BNA) Dr. Suraya Dalil, Minister of Public Health opened a new building of Rishkhor health center the other day in a ceremony attended by Kabul Governor Abdul Jabar Taqwa, member of parliament General Nazifa Zaki and a number of other government officials and by opening of the center, 32,000 families will access to basic health services.
The building which was opened by Minister of Public Health and governor of Kabul last year has been constructed in two stories on two hectares of land.
The center consisting of 16 rooms and other facilities have been built at the cost of 300,000 US dollar funded by Kabul-based US PRT.
Minister of Public Health called the center as a positive step towards improvement of health services and said by construction of this clinic, necessary health facilities would be provided for local people.
The minister while appreciating Kabul-based PRT for construction of the center said, “As much as the security and safety of people are important enough in Afghanistan, delivering of social services to Afghan people including health services is also important in consolidation of relations between government and people.”
“We think by setting up health institutions and infrastructures, deployment of enough professional employees in health centers, completion of medical machineries and equipment can consolidate trust between people and government,” Dalil said.
Dr. Dalil added that improvement of health services in government run hospitals, permanent overseeing private hospitals and clinics constitutes the main priorities of her ministry.
