International, Research Seminar Held On 100th Anniversary of Declaration of Indian Interim Government In Kabul

Kabul (BNA) With reading out message of Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, an international, scientific and research seminar was held yesterday on the occasion of 100th anniversary of declaration of the Indian interim government in Kabul.
The seminar was held by Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) with participation of special envoy to president on political affairs Dr. Akram Khpalwak, State Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Nabi Farahi, a number of members of the National Assembly, government officials, knowledgeable figures, universities’ teachers and foreign guests. In the seminar, Minister of Information and Culture, Abdul Bari Jahani spoke and said, “It is a great day for Afghanistan and India and today’s ceremony is held on the occasion of the prestigious day when the Indian interim government was declared in Kabul.” “We hold the seminar and have invited writers and researchers from Pakistan and India to show neighboring and world countries that we preferred diplomacy and peaceful changes rather than war 100 years ago, and today we also want to clarify our stance towards peace and stability in the region,” Jahani added.
Following, message of the country’s President was read out by special envoy to president on political affairs Dr. Akram Khpalwak. In his message, President Ghani said, “I’m happy and thank MoIC for holding a scientific and research conference on the occasion of 100th anniversary of declaration of the Indian interim government in Kabul and providing an opportunity for discussing in connection with a significant regional incident.” “As residents of Asia had common problems and wishes 100 years ago, today they have also common problems which can be solved through cooperation,” the message said. In the seminar, Indian Ambassador to Kabul while praising Ministry of Information and Culture for holding the seminar briefed related to various dimensions of the Indian interim government’s formation in Kabul, enumerating role of Raja Partab Singh in this regard. He asserted that friendship and good relations between India and Afghanistan were historical, stressing on further expansion and consolidation of the relations between the two countries. Pakistan Ambassador to Kabul also spoke related to formation of the Indian interim government in Kabul, saying those 100 years ago, the people formed a government whose president was Raja Partab Singh and premier was Mawlana Barakatullah Sahib. It is worth mentioning that the seminar will continue for two days.
