Uprising In Ghazni

Kabul (BNA) The leader of an uprising group in Ghazni says” we are advancing, the Taliban have been defeated”. While the clashes are continuing in Andeer district, Ghazni province as before, the up-risers say, that they have defeated the armed Taliban.
They also claim that they enjoy the support of the residents of the district. The uprising of this group against Taliban started from early days of the current year (Afghan Year) in response the killing of the elders and the attacks of insurgents’ to public facilities among them schools and medical centers.
At the beginning, six students started the uprising, but passing each day their number increased and gained ground among the public.
Tyranny, killing civilians closing and firing of schools assassination of elders by Taliban caused the people to join forces to the rank of pursers who are leading by some educated and intellectual young men.
According to reports reached the Anders district, presently, the markets schools medical centers and other important organization, under the control of the up-risers, have been reopened and the people, after years of Taliban presence in the region, restarted their normal life.
Although the up-riser from their early hours of uprising until now have been attacked several times by Taliban among them Pakistani supporting this movement by Andeer people, Taliban are now on the margin.
Eng. Lutfullah Kamuran the leader of the Ghazni up-risers in a special interview with BNA said that they have most areas of Andeer in their control and continue to advance toward other districts of this province.
Kamuran said, “Now we control 90 percent of Andeer district and also have ousted Taliban from some parts of Gero district with close cooperation of people we hope to be witness a free Taliban Ghazni in early future”.
The leader of up-risers of Ghazni said that currently the number of his men reaches to 1000 men and the number is increasing day by day. Lutfullah continued the people of are tired from cruelty, backwardness, and they want their children attend school, reconstructed their region and live in peace and tranquility.
Therefore, for achieving the above goals, the Ghazni people support them. He claimed that at the beginning, they were six men and now up to 1000 persons including old men even women are jointly fighting Taliban.
The leader of this uprising called armed Taliban, foreigners’ mercenaries and their actions in front of Afghan people anti-Islamic.
He said, “We asked Taliban not kill teachers, with the order of foreigners, don’t close the schools to students and not to attack reconstruction projects unfortunately they didn’t hear, so we were forced to rise.” Now the up-risers want the government to solve the problems of shortage of medical centers and schools in the region and provide opportunities for young generation to study and work.
The leader of uprising were asked if they were needed military assistance, do they want the support of the government said, now this is the public uprising and with support of people we eliminate the tyranny of armed Taliban.
Obaidullah Passoon who called himself the spokesman of up-risers told BAN that, since the begging of the uprising they 15 times came under Taliban attacks, but in all these fighting, only armed Taliban sustained losses.
The governor of Andeer district was witness of heavy fighting between the pursier, and armed Taliban said that the clashes occurred when a group of up-risers attacked a hide out of armed Taliban.
According to the spokesman of up-risers, in the clashes 15 armed Taliban including Panjabi fighters were killed.
A source close to up-risers wanted to be anonymous told BNA that ISI has come to support Taliban and tries to s prevent the advance of up-risers. He said, that tens of Panjabi and Arab militants with support of ISI have come to the region are getting preparation for heavy fighting with up-risers.
In the meantime, the local authorities of Ghazni province told BNA” we support the uprising of Ghazni people against Taliban, for defending their rights but not as a political process.
But the Ghazni people who have experience the cruelty and harassment of Taliban for years, hope the uprising to be wide spread across that province to bring a free and secure atmosphere there.
