VP Praises People For Marking Ashura In Secure, Brotherly Environment

Kabul (BNA) Sarwar Danesh, Second Vice-President in a message has praised the Muslim people of Afghanistan for holding and celebrating Ashura and their honest participation in the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the Second Vice-President appreciate the country’s President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, First Vice-President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and his deputies, special envoy to President on reforms and good governance Ahmad Zia Massoud, high-ranking government officials, cabinet members, representatives of people in parliament, jihadi leaders and political figures for their participation and comprehensive speeches in the ceremony.
In his message, the Second Vice-President also praised religious Ulamas in particular Ustad Azizullah Shafaq, priests and imams of mosques for their role during the Ashura days and for fulfilling their responsibility towards expansion of the Islamic education. “Besides security problems and challenges in various parts of the country, the Ashura days were held and celebrated in a secure and peaceful environment across the country and by blessing of the Almighty Allah and kinds of movements and plots disrupting the security of Hussaini mourners were prevented by the country’s security forces as ANP, ANA and NDS personnel working day and night to maintain security across the country”, the message said. In his message, the Second Vice-President expressed happiness over participation of the people of Afghanistan during the Ashura days, wishing further success, health and dignity to the people and stability and security to the country. According to another report, laws committee’s session was held yesterday under the chairmanship of the Second Vice-President and head of the committee Sarwar Danesh here in Kabul. In the session, draft law on customs and draft law on civil aviation were discussed.
