Kabul (BNA) After defeating India, Indonesia and Thailand basketball teams in the 4th Bali Cup International Tournament in Indonesia, the women’s wheelchair basketball team arrived home on Monday.
“As we promised, we won the tournament, we became the champions, I’m glad to have won such an honor for the first time. The tournament was very good. The teams were powerful, but we got stronger after playing them and won,” said Nilofar Bayat, a team member.
This is the first time that the women’s wheelchair basketball team participated in the Asia championship.
“This is the greatest honor we have gained. I cannot speak from too much joy with four wins we got the position,” said Tahir Yousofi the team’s coach.
