Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of Information and Culture in a meeting held yesterday observed the International Women Day.
In his address, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen the Ministry of Information and Culture said the involvement of women in various aspects of life peaks of government efforts in improving women rights condition in society.
He also lauded the activities of women in the field of media and stressed for more development.
However, the minister touched upon the violence against women, saying protracted war, problems of life and poor education are main reasons of violence against women and overcoming the challenge require more time.
Deputy ministers Nabi Farahi, Mubariz Rashidi and other officials also spoke on the occasion.
The meeting was ended by displaying theatre, music and reciting poems on women.
