Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai strongly condemned planting of mine in Farah province, resulting in killing and wounding of a number of civilians, his office said.
Farah Governor House reports indicate that yesterday morning around 7:00 am, a passenger car which was heading towards Lash Jeween district hit a street mine planted on street side by the enemies of the people, martyring five persons from a single family including three children and their father and wounded the mother of the children.
Condemning planting of street side mines, the president said that these wild acts were carried out by the enemies of the Afghans and their mercenaries.
President Karzai conveyed his deep sympathies to the bereaved family and wished early recovery for the wounded of this incident.
