Maidanshahr (BNA) During in a special operation conducted by Afghan security forces, five members of Haqqani’s Network along with 100 kg explosive materials arrested in Maidan-Wardak province.
The arrested persons have been targeted by Afghan military forces while, they were involved in terrorist activities in relevant areas of Jalriz district of the province the night before last.
Ataullah Khogyani spokesperson of Maidan-Wardak governor told BNA, the persons wanted to carry out several terrorist attacks, which timely arrested by Afghan security forces.
Khogyani added, some heavy and light weapons, 100 kg explosive materials and ammunitions have been seized from them.
It has been said, there were no casualties among civilians and Afghan security forces following the operation.
