President Ghani Presides Over Cabinet Meeting

Kabul (BNA) The cabinet meeting with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair held meeting in Arg the other day.
At the outset of the meeting, the first vice president General Abdul Rashid Dostum briefed the cabinet about the outcome of his recent visit to Turkey and attending 100th anniversary of Chanaq Qala war and his meetings with president and prime minister of Turkey as well as meeting world leaders including the presidents of Azerbaijan, Iraq and Pakistan. He also said at the cabinet about Turkey’s interest in opening consulates in Jauzjan, Kandahar and Herat in near future for enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
The cabinet approved the outcome of the visit of first vice president to Turkey and tasked the foreign ministry to take necessary steps for implementing the agreements reached during the visit. As per the agenda, the chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah apprized the cabinet about the decisions of the Council of Ministers, held in 1393 and 1394 and their achievements. The chief executive also expressed concerns over the recent decisions of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which have created problems for 600 Afghan families to leave that country, requesting the president to personally contact the top leaders of UAE and seek the solution for the problems.
