Jalalabad (BNA) A civilian was martyred and 16 others wounded in a bomb blast in a crowded market in Nangarhar province yesterday.
The blast occurred in Shegal bazaar, Ghanikhail district of the province while dozens of civilians were shopping.
Malem Mashooq Ghanikhail district governor of Nangarhar said BNA correspondent, a civilians was martyred and 16 others wounded in the blast.
The injured of the incident are 14 civilians and two police officers. Dr. Rahmat Gul responsible of central hospital of Ghanikhail district said that 26 wounded and one killed civilians have been transferred to the hospital.
He reported the health condition of six wounded civilians critical.
Governor of Ghanikhail district said that a bomb was placed in a hand cart in the bazaar.
He blamed Taliban for the incident said security forces started investigation to identify and arrest the culprits of the incident. T. Suraya-Yarzada
