NPC Inks 20 Contracts

Kabul (BNA) The National Procurement Commission (NPC) approved 20 contracts costing 5.5 billion Afghanis, including substances and livelihood of some central and provincial security forces and road construction projects in Andarab district of Baghlan province and some other areas, a statement said Sunday.
Chaired by President Ghani late on Saturday, the NPC also inked contract related to construction of the railway of Aqina port, but conditioned to providing further details and complete documents for removal of the current considerations, the statement said.
The committee returned suggestion from the ministry of telecommunication and information technology about the increase of price of optical fiber installation at the central cities and provinces, for documental investigation by an assigned delegation. The suggestion of the ministry of public works on construction of 51 km road from Sar-e-Pul to Sheberghan, had been rejected for failure to complete the legal standards, the statement said.
The commission tasked the ministry of public works to refer to the new procurements process, using the conditioned bidding or in case of urgency, through a single source and ordered the procurement capacity ratification nullified, according to the statement.
The statement said the Afghan Brishna Sherkat’s suggestion about the adjustment of the time of power supply consultative company and Greshk district related to distribution network, had been approved by the commission, with the president ordering for serious overseeing and application of the development projects by the ministries and related institutions,
