Kabul (BNA) Officials and employees of directorate of Bakhtar News Agency marked National Journalist Day in a ceremony with presence of Deputy Minister of Publication Affairs for information and culture Abdul Manan Shiway Sharq.
In the ceremony, deputy minister of publication affairs for information and culture in his speech congratulated the National Journalist Day to all journalists in particular journalists of the BNA.
“Beside all forces, we have two brave and strong forces in the country and one of these forces are the country’s defense and security forces, while the other one are brave and professional forces of media,” deputy minister of information and culture said, recalling of journalists’ sacrifices they have suffered while reporting.
He also expressed his support from the country’s journalists, stressing that he was committed to supporting BNA for further improvement of its operation and activities.
In the ceremony, director of Bakhtar News Agency Najibullah Shinware spoke and by congratulating the National Journalist Day prayed for the soul of martyred journalists and all martyrs of the country.
At the end of the ceremony, deputy minister of publication affairs for information and culture granted the appreciation tableau provided by the journalists of BNA to director of the agency. Meanwhile, the BNA officials appreciated the journalists with appreciation certificates.
